Help Cooperation for Development Nepal/ Helpcode Nepal (HCN) is a non-profit organization founded in 2015 to serve underprivileged children, including Dalits, indigenous groups, and children living with disabilities in Nepal. HCN works in the areas of education, health, agriculture, environment, and art/culture by strengthening coordination with authorities and imparting training on income generation, organizational support, and capacity building. Its primary focus is on providing quality education and health services to the targeted population, but it also conducts relief work during natural disasters, health camps, awareness programs on various health issues, develops IEC materials, provides scholarships, and conducts awareness programs on child rights and gender equality.
Helpcode Nepal is committed to promoting the well-being of children in Nepal through its work in four thematic areas:
-Early Childhood
-Primary Education
-Health
-Vulnerable Children Group Protection.
HCN has been conducting education, health, and sponsorship programs in Makwanpur, Chitwan and Kathmandu, working in cooperation with government bodies such as Municipality, Municipality Education Desk, Health Desk, School, School Management Committees (SMCs) and Child Clubs, among others.
Helpcode Nepal strives for a coordinated, effective, and sustained approach which epitomizes bottom-up approach as well as the domestication of international standards regarding children and human rights to ensure a holistic and long-term development in the area of its interventions. We believe in inclusive sustainable participative developments which enlarge beneficiaries’ choice and engage all the stakeholders to create a constructive environment and conditions for a real change that does not leave anybody behind.

Education: Helpcode Nepal recognizes education as a human right and is committed to promoting education rights and advancing alternative paradigms of education. HCN focuses on a holistic approach to child development, ensuring not only basic needs are met but also addressing the educational system, national plans on education, and economic and human gaps.
Marginalized Communities & Disadvantages Ethnic Groups: Helpcode Nepal’s vision is to shift the current education paradigm to contribute to social, economic and social justice. HCN concentrates its efforts towards marginalized and disadvantaged communities, ethnic groups and castes within Nepal, believing that equity and an inclusive approach pave the way to social justice and the harmonization of the social fabric.
Gender Equality and the Girl’s Rights: Helpcode Nepal believes in a transformative pattern and the elimination of harmful practices, such as child marriage and gender-based violence, through specific focus on girls’ empowerment, within the educational system and towards the social environment. HCN engages child-clubs and trains them to harness the power of youth as agents of change.
Poverty Reduction, Human and Economic: Helpcode Nepal promotes income generation activities, customized and based on local analysis, child-friendly spaces, decent school facilities and infrastructure to reduce school dropout, mitigate povert, and its consequences on children’s capabilities and girls’ empowerment. HCN also addresses behavioral changes with a focus on discriminative normative and social schemas, which prevent girls from attaining a proper education and increase the level of malnutrition.
Emergency and Humanitarian Response: Helpcode Nepal provides immediate relief to affected communities during natural disasters and climate change. HCN focuses on child protection, education in emergency, food and non-food items, and protecting the dignity of girls in its humanitarian response efforts.
